Las Vegas Market Announces ‘Book the Block’ Winners

Las Vegas Market announced the winners of its inaugural “Book the Block” hotel reservation promotion, sponsored by International Market Centers and Connections Housing. From thousands of buyers and exhibitors participated in the inaugural Summer 2014 Book The Block promotion, 18 randomly-selected individuals received hotel and hospitality prizes.

Buyers and suppliers booking hotel reservations for the Winter 2015 Market while onsite at the Summer 2014 Market will be eligible for the Winter 2015 Book the Block promotion, Monthly prizes including a free room stay for up to five nights during the Winter Market, gourmet dinners, show tickets and room upgrades, will be awarded. All bookings received by January 5, 2015, also will be eligible to win a grand prize of a “VIP Las Vegas New Year’s Eve 2015/2016 Celebration” consisting of four days/three nights at a major Las Vegas Hotel Casino Resort, VIP New Year’s Eve Party for two, and roundtrip airline tickets for two with VIP limousine transportation to and from the airport. To be eligible, bookings must be made through Connections Housing, the official travel agency for Las Vegas Market.

Six complimentary hotel stays were awarded to buyers Sandy Queen (Castle Rock, CO), Roger Cazin of Cazin (Evanston, WY), Patricia Brown of The Patio(El Paso, TX) and Bob Elsen of Charles Eifen & Assoc. (Denver, CO); and exhibitors Linda Brumbaugh of Visser Enterprises (Fountain Valley, CA); Greg Jordt of Harounian Rugs Intl (New York, NY).

Five buyers won hotel suite upgrades: Michael Allen of Brand Source (Mercer Island, WA), Jeanette Coulter of Design Philosophy (Lebanon, NJ), Vidal Cantu of Cantu Interiors (Laredo, TX), Gary Cornblath of Macys, (New York, NY) and Jonathan Craner of Overstock.com Salt Lake City, UT).

Free show tickets were won by buyers Andrea Myers of (Orange Park, FL), Barbara Perez of Luna Bella (Hialeah, FL), Charlotte Knight of Furniture Market (Beaver Dam, KY) and Stan Froneberger (Greensboro, NC). Two buyers also won free dinner for two: Sandy White of St. Joseph Gift Shop (Lewiston, ID) and Steven Hanchey of Wilson Bates Furniture (Twin Falls, ID).

Grand prize winner Susan Bahadurian-Vogel, buyer for Norm Thompson Outfitters/Solutions Catalog (Hillsboro, OR), won a Las Vegas VIP New Year’s Eve 2014/2015 Party. Bahadurian-Vogel will ring in 2015 in Las Vegas at an MGM Resort Hotel, with airfare for two, VIP party for two and Limo transfers included.
