Selva To Introduce New Indigo Collection At Fall High Point Market

Furniture World News Desk on 9/11/2014

SELVA reported that it will bring new additions to the INDIGO Collection  at the upcoming High Point Market. A total of twelve creations made from Canaletto Walnut carry the signatures of two masters in their field: that of Dainelli Design Studio and of the internationally renowned furniture manufacturer SELVA. SELVA’s INDIGO Collection will be presented in the exclusive 4,300 sq. ft. showroom in the 200 Steele Building from Oct. 18-23, 2014.

Out of the collaboration between SELVA and the Dainelli Design Studio has arisen a modern decorating concept that reflects the history of the furniture manufacturer and the spirit of innovation of the designer. Mr. Dainelli will be present during High Point Market along with Philipp SELVA, CEO of SELVA. Mr. Dainelli will be able to further detail the inspirations behind the INDIGO Collection. The entire decorating concept was refined by the three new European cow leathers with a vintage look, in the shades of gray, earth, and chocolate brown. They emphasize the warm coloration of the Canaletto walnut and its natural grain. A selection of the pieces combine the cool materials of marble and glass, a harmonious contrast is created which lends the setting a natural, modern look. SELVA and the Design Studio Dainelli combine the necessity of keeping alive tradition and handcrafted quality. “For SELVA this novelty is a real evolution and with it we are going into a direction to strengthen the SELVA identity.” said Philipp Selva, President and CEO of SELVA.

Some of the highlights of the Indigo Collection that can be seen at the market are the finely designed INDIGO Armchair (#1019) which is hand made in Italy and has a fine-structured wooden frame made of Canaletto walnut along with top-quality seat and back upholstery and loose cushions. The INDIGO Chest of Drawers (#5019) is both a modern and classic showpiece that has interplay between geometric proportions and softly curved lines. The INDIGO Dining Table (#3020) highlights a tabletop with the rounded corners forms a harmonious tension with the oversized, crossed legs and was designed to have stability and strength. Another highlighted piece of the collection is the INDIGO Bedside Table (#5018)
which has a curved design and abridged design featuring a drawer and American Walnut legs. The highlighted pieces are only a part of the entire INDIGO collection by SELVA.
