Marsala inspired rug introductions: Velvet and Filitree.


Capel Rugs reported that it will introduce three new braided collections and a variety of rugs that incorporate Pantone's 2015 Color of the Year - Marsala at the winter Atlanta and Las Vegas markets.

Capel will show Jan. 6-13 at its new showroom at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market, Merchandise Mart, space 3-C-15, and Jan. 18-22 at the Las Vegas Market's World Market Center, Space A-226.

Crystal Falls incorporates calming pastels; Dramatic Static generates a sprayed, speckled effect with tons of texture; and Untamed sizzles with bold color combinations.

Marsala is basking in the spotlight after being named Color of the Year by Pantone. Interior designers and other fashion fans can count on Capel to hit the latest trend. The Velvet Graphic rug in ruby offers a classic take on Marsala. The Monte Carlo rug in seamist mahogany features rich Marsala floral accents, while WILLIAMSBURG®'s Filigree in persimmon has a tone-on-tone take on the trend.

BRAID INTRODUCTIONS:

Crystal Falls: Crystal Falls captures the tranquility of nature as it brings a touch of relaxation to any room. The made in the USA braided rug is made of 90% nylon, 5% cotton and 5% other fibers in four colorways - h2o blue, mineral grey, natural lamb and willow green. Sizes available are 2' X 3', 3' X 5', 5' X 8', 7' X 9', 8' X 11', 2' X 8' runner, 7'6" round and custom. A 5' x 8' oval rug may retail for $499.

Dramatic Static: Straight off the fashion runway, a range of dramatic colors makes these braided rugs works of art for any floor. Sizing of the made in the USA rug includes 2' X 3', 3' X 5', 5' X 8', 7' X 9', 8' X 11', 2' X 8' runner, 7'6" round and custom. Made of a mix of high-textured nylon chenille and wool, Dramatic Static is available in cameo green, cyber white, eminent brown, extreme rust, intense navy and unique taupe colorways. A 5' x 8' oval rug may retail for $499.

Untamed: Full-on color and attitude is what the Untamed collection is all about. The unrestrained vibrant colors in this new style are sure to energize any room. The made in the USA braided rug is composed of 50% wool, 45% nylon and 5% other fibers in four colorways - bizarre red, limitless blue, primitive beige and vicious black. Untamed is designed to coordinate with Capel's latest Color Burst trend. Sizes available are 2' X 3', 3' X 5', 5' X 8', 7' X 9', 8' X 11', 2' X 8' runner, 7'6" round and custom. A 5' x 8' oval rug may retail for $499.

MARSALA-INSPIRED RUG INTRODUCTIONS:

Filigree: Designed around an 18th-century silk damask textile in the collections of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the stylish damask patterns in Filigree are scaled and colored to suit the tastes of today's consumer. The hand tufted rug is made of 100% wool in India and comes in four colorways - persimmon (shown), citron, espresso and natural. Sizing includes 5' X 8', 8' X 10', 8'6" round, 9' X 12', 10' X 14', 2'6" X 8' runner and custom. A 5' x 8' rug may retail for $899.

Monte Carlo: Monte Carlo features big floral blooms and a remarkable shine. The hand tufted collection is made in India of 70% wool and 30% viscose in six colorways - seamist/mahogany, silver/nautical blue, pearl/riviera, cream/chestnut, lichen/champagne and wheat/persimmon. Sizing includes 5' x 8', 7' x 9' and 8' x 11'. A 5' x 8' rug may retail for $599.

Velvet: An assortment of traditional classics, Velvet is handcrafted from the purest wool yarns and double washed to achieve a luxurious sheen. This exquisite collection is a winning combination of beauty and value. Made in India of 100% wool and available in 2' x 3', 5' x 8', 7' x 9', 8' x 11' and 10' x 13'.
