Zenith Global Logistics Promotes Kent Benson to VP Post

Specialized furniture carrier and international 3PL provider Zenith Global Logistics announced that it has promoted Kent Benson to the position of Vice President of Southeast and Contract Business Development.

“Kent came to Zenith with 25 years of hands-on experience in all aspects of transportation and logistics, from planning and modeling to pricing and performance standards,” stated Jack Hawn, President and CEO. “He used this expertise and leadership to help our company establish facilities in Tupelo, Miss., and Orlando, Fla., hubs—both of which are essential to meet the needs of our customers throughout the Southeast. His promotion is well deserved, and recognizes Kent’s contributions to Zenith and its customers.”

In his new role, Kent will continue his existing responsibilities for sales growth in the Southeast, as well as for operations at the Tupelo and Orlando facilities. He will now also be responsible for developing new business in the contract and hospitality markets as Zenith continues to expand to meet the furniture industry’s needs. Prior to joining Zenith Global, Kent was Director of Global Logistics for Worldwide Logistics and Vice President & General Manager for Southern Furniture Transport, LLC.
