Ed Basore, Casegoods & Bedding Buyer for Wolf Furniture, has announced that he will be retiring shortly after the April High Point Market. Ed has worked for Wolf’s in a number of capacities, including sales, store management, distribution manager and buyer.

“Ed’s dedication and attention to service and detail are a rare trait. He has had a terrific career here,” said Gene Stoltz. “We are so happy that he is able to do this. He has been a tremendous asset to Wolf’s for 32 years, and has always stepped forward to do whatever was asked of him.” Doug Wolf added, “Ed has been an integral part of Wolf’s management team. Back when he & I ran a store, he bailed me out of many jams. We were a good team for decades. He will be missed.”

With Ed Basore’s retirement comes the promotion of David Dumm to the position of Bedroom and Bedding Buyer. David has been managing stores for Wolf’s for 20 years, and most recently he was the General Manager of the Frederick, Maryland store. “We are pleased to be able to promote from within again,” said Doug Wolf.

“David has done a terrific job at the store management level and displays the skills needed for success in this corporate buying position.”

David, wife Wendy, and 2 children, Courtney and Chloe, plan on moving to the Altoona area.
