Mike Michalowicz, founder of three multi-million dollar companies, author of the bestselling business books, Profit First, The Pumpkin Plan, The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur and the upcoming Surge, will keynote the 2016 Interior Design Summit in Denver, CO, July 29-30. He is one of 10 industry experts tapped to share their business strategies and tactics exclusively with interior design professionals at the 4th annual event, created by Gail Doby Coaching & Consulting.

Michalowicz is a former business makeover specialist on MSNBC and a small business columnist for The Wall Street Journal. He will present his Profit First Formula, a way for businesses to ensure profitability from their very next deposit. Michalowicz will show why the traditional formula entrepreneurs use to calculate profit is actually what inhibits it and how to take a new approach to profit that can instantly alter a company's profitability.

Throughout the two-day Summit, taking place at Denver's Ritz-Carlton, a host of business, financial, legal and branding specialists will provide actionable, hands-on programs to help professional designers radically improve their balance sheet, back-room services, personnel policies, and more. Dual programming tracks allow first-time attendees to receive a strong foundation in core principles while a secondary track gives previous attendees or designers with intermediate business expertise a full complement of in-depth seminars.

In addition to Michalowicz, two of the Summit's noted presenters are:

Lisa Kahn
Founder of the Kahn Design Group in Naples, FL, Kahn will share how to Live Your Brand. In this thoughtful talk, Lisa will define the importance of clearly crafting your message and authentically living your brand in and out of work and how that impacts a designer's ability to attract ideal clients. Prior to having her own design firm, Kahn was an interior designer with London Bay Homes and Lutron Electronics, where she was a corporate interior designer with additional responsibilities in sales and marketing.

Kimberly Merlitti
Kimberly holds a Masters degree in accounting and her company, KMM Consulting in San Francisco helps designers, contractors and architectural firms, among others, become as profitable as possible by educating them on accounting, cash flow management, tax deductions, and project reporting. Her presentation, Interior Design Cash MapsTM-Get Control of Your Money and Profit will help attendees understand a money map and avoid cash flow stress.
