High Point Market Authority Launches Editor’s Spotlight Program With Shelter Magazines

Furniture World News Desk on 6/21/2017

The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) recently announced that it has launched Editor’s Spotlight, a new program to showcase on-trend products introduced by exhibitors each April and October at the world’s largest home furnishings trade show.

Partnering with top shelter magazines, the program is focused on developing digital content that communicates one of High Point Market’s unique value propositions to attendees: product selection.

“With each publication’s unique point of view, editors are empowered to collectively communicate the breadth, depth and diversity of High Point Market’s offering,” said Ashley Grigg, Manager of Communications, HPMA.

For the first time in High Point Market’s history, the show organizers additionally aim to recognize and promote the work of the home furnishings industry’s premier shelter media partners with a dedicated website feature. “Shelter publications tell our industry stories to the wider world,” added Grigg. “The Editor’s Spotlight program is designed to acknowledge the critical role they play in connecting their readers to our best products.”

Editor submissions will be posted to the Products & Trends page of www.highpointmarket.org, where the website tracks over 2 million unique views annually. The content is then distributed in an e-newsletter to approximately 75,000 Market attendees, including retail buyers and interior designers. Following the website posting, the editor’s product selections are tagged and featured in a week-long Instagram Takeover of High Point Market’s account, @highpointmarket, which currently has over 89,000 followers.

Luxe Interiors and Design contributed to the inaugural feature this month. Luxe’s Style Editor, Kate Bergeron, identified six favorite products from the April High Point Market. Her selections include a sofa by Kelly Wearstler (E.J. Victor), nesting tables by Mr. Brown, wall art by Kate Spade New York (Wendover Art Group), silk pillows by Ngala Trading Co., a mirror by Noir and a chandelier by Bunny Williams for Currey & Company.

Luxe magazine’s product picks may be found at www.highpointmarket.org/products-and-trends/bold-styles-shape-the-new-season and will be highlighted via an Instagram Takeover throughtout the week of June 19.

Editor selections from Traditional Home magazine will post in July.
