Cory Home Delivery recently announced that it has opened a 42,000 square foot distribution center in Jessup, Maryland to service Bob’s Discount Furniture in the Mid-Atlantic region. Cory has experienced a thirty percent growth so far this year and this new location is part of a strategic expansion plan for Cory as they continue to grow the company throughout the country.

“We are delighted to grow our business by providing services for Bob’s Discount Furniture from this beautiful state-of-the-art facility.” says CEO Patrick Cory.

Patrick along with his executive and operational leadership team welcomed over one-hundred fifty guests, clients, vendors and team members to a ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration. They thanked the Cory start-up team, led by Retired COO Bob Alter, Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager John Braun and Facility Manager Charles Cepero for the amazing transformation of the building. Bob stated, “This journey began many months ago with the search for a building that could provide a cross-dock operation for Bob’s Discount Furniture. In spite of a few setbacks and challenges we have been able to provide our client with a great delivery center with quality and execution second to none in our industry.”

Peter Sorrentino, Vice President of Delivery Operations and Outbound Logistics from Bob’s Discount Furniture stated during his congratulatory remarks about their partnership with Cory, “this facility not only exemplifies Cory commitment to Bob’s Discount Furniture and its customer but sets a building standard for all to duplicate.”

As part of the ceremony Patrick accepted a citation welcoming Cory to Howard County, Maryland from Vice President of Business Development Mark Thompson and Director of Business Retention and Expansion Catherine Bedolla.

In conclusion of the ceremony, Patrick presented a donation to the Bob’s Charity Foundation, which supports the children within the community.

Guests were invited to take a tour of building and enjoyed a BBQ lunch.
