CORT Names New Marketing Executives

CORT announced that Lisa Woodworth has joined the company as the vice president of marketing. In this role, Woodworth will report directly to President and CEO Jeff Pederson and she will be responsible for bolstering the company’s corporate marketing efforts.

CORT is a Berkshire Hathaway company and has served millions of individuals and more than 80 percent of the Fortune 500 companies with furniture rental and business services over the past 40 years. CORT also offers a wide range of destination services for people and companies in transition, including rental housing locating and neighborhood touring.

Prior to joining CORT, Lisa was the vice president and director of strategy and planning at international marketing, advertising and public relations agency Ogilvy & Mather. Additionally, Lisa spent a number of years as a senior manager within Kodak and Bausch & Lomb/Luxottica. During her eight years at Kodak, Lisa served both in their worldwide group, managing the launch of digital products across the globe and in Kodak’s North America region, running the marketing and sales planning for their off-site photofinishing business unit. At Bausch & Lomb ‘s Eyewear Division, Lisa held various sales positions and spent several years in their marketing department working the last year with Luxottica as they transitioned ownership of Ray-Ban from Bausch & Lomb.

“Lisa's experience in advertising, product and process management, her people skills and branding know-how make her a tremendous addition to CORT's senior leadership team,” said Pederson.

Margaret Schwartz has also joined the company as the director of marketing. In this role, Schwartz will provide strategic direction for key vertical customer segments and implement new program initiatives. Prior to joining CORT, Schwartz spent 13 years as a marketing consultant for MLS Consulting where she leveraged her strategic planning and implementation skills to increase client sales and improve clients’ business processes. Margaret also served as vice president of marketing at Carfax where she was responsible for the company’s strategic market planning and execution. Schwartz’s rich marketing experience and her client services and customer relations prowess make her the ideal candidate for the director of marketing position.
