AICO Walks for Hope

On Sunday, November 4th, over 80 people joined the AICO All-Stars team in the annual 5k Walk for Hope on the campus of City of Hope in Duarte, CA.  Each year, people walk as a community for this annual fundraising event in support of the on-going fight against women's cancers. This year there were over 10,000 walkers participating with surprises guests…Minnie and Mickey Mouse.

The AICO All-Stars have been supporting this walk for nine years with employees and their families, friends and other furniture industry supporters. Team captain and AICO President, Martin Ploy stated “I am so proud of our team and their commitment and dedication to raising money for this exhilarating and extraordinary event.  This year we were the number one team by contributing over $40,000 to the walk.”

The Walk for Hope event provides funds to help support City of Hope’s efforts to push the boundaries of science and research to help develop new drugs, treatments, and cures that will help women everywhere.

“We’ve been very fortunate to receive donations from many of our employees, sales representatives, dealers and other industry friends.” Added Ploy, “the tremendous support from Michael Amini and the extended AICO family have made the AICO All-Stars one of the most consistent and best fundraising teams.”
