IHFRA Announces 2023 FIAG Honorees

The International Home Furnishings Representatives Association (IHFRA) has confirmed this year’s theme, honorees, date and location for its 27th annual Furniture Industry Awards Gala (FIAG).

The gala will be held Friday, Oct.13th at the Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center, at High Point University.

This year’s honorees are Top 100 retailer Miskelly Furniture, Retailer of the Year, Roy Hester of Planned Furniture Promotions, who will be honored as Industry Icon, Edward Massood of , Massood Logistics, who will be named Pillar of the Industry,  IHFRA rep Ted Jarnagin, will receive the  Legacy Rep award and John Pinion IV, will be presented with the Distinguished Service Award.

In addition, IHFRA’s Rising Stars award will be presented to four up and coming future leaders who have already distinguished themselves for outstanding performances.  This year’s Rising Stars are in recognition of the outstanding achievements on behalf of Honorees of the Oct. 21 event are: Cameron Wanek of Ashley Furniture, Kian Amini of AICO, Sydney Harris of Furnitureland South and Katie Korngold of Korngold Sales & Marketing.

“The theme for this year’s gala, ‘It’s all about family,’ perfectly describes each of our honorees as well as the makeup of our industry,” said IHFRA Executive Director Ray Allegrezza.

“The furniture industry really is a family,” he said, adding, “And within that family there are scores and scores of family businesses and this year, every one of our honorees hails from a family that has deep roots in the home furnishings industry.”

In addition, Allegrezza added that the upcoming FIAG have also  improved their companies and elevated the industry’s image by making it more efficient, professional, and consumer-centric.
