Mattress manufacturer King Koil has refreshed and expanded its popular Xtended Life collection, mattresses with an industry leading 25-year-warranty that are designed for consumers seeking greater durability. The refreshed mattresses come with new features that include improved quilting and high-density foams, a new wrapped coil system for firmer support and new ticking. The new designs will be shown at the Summer Las Vegas Furniture Market and can be seen in the company’s B1200 showroom.
The fresh new look includes all-new panel and border covers imported from Belgium, combined with the Tencel ticking that made previous models so popular. New and improved quilting foam is designed to reduce surface body impressions that cause many returns to dealers. The new models contain an added tri-zone graphite latex layer, and a new wrapped coil system that provides firmer support to sleepers. Suggested retails are $2,299 to $2,499 in queen.
“At a time when consumers are keeping a close eye on spending, Xtended Life offers a longer warranty than anything else we produce,” said David Long, executive vice president of innovation and marketing at King Koil. “These highly durable mattresses are designed for people who want a product they can depend on, that will not fail and leave them with body impressions. The beds feature 1075 independently encased coils designed to reduce motion disturbance and body pressure points for the ultimate in comfort and support. Plus, graphite latex layers provide a breathable heat-removing surface to disperse heat and keep sleepers cool throughout the night.”
The mattresses in the collection undergo rollator testing of 250,000 cycles using a 350-pound barrel compared to the industry standard of 100,000 cycles with a 230-pound barred to simulate 25 years of use. The models feature King Koil’s proprietary Perfect Contour® Reaction coil system combining more than 1,000 taller, active-conforming coils with the company’s supportive reactive coils to improve postural alignment while reducing motion disturbance among partners.
About King Koil
A leading global mattress manufacturer, King Koil supports more than 30 licensees in more than 90 countries where King Koil mattresses are manufactured and sold. Headquartered in the Chicago suburb of Willowbrook, Ill., the company has a long, rich history that reaches back to 1898 when Samuel Bronstein founded United States Bedding in St. Paul, Minn. What started out as six employees in a small factory has continued to grow. During the 1930s, U.S. Bedding improved the bedspring and was looking for a new name for its product. From there, the King Koil name was born.
