Aico Honors Staff At Annual Holiday Event

Full line furniture supplier AICO/Amini Innovation Corp reports it held its annual Holiday Party on December 12, 2015 at The Island Hotel in Newport Beach, CA, where over 215 guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, and live entertainment. The event also provided the occasion to bestow several awards to AICO employees and to valued partners. The prestigious Employee of the Year award was presented to AICO’s Sales Support Coordinator, Denise Salcido, who has been with AICO for over 10 years. “Denise plays an important role in sales, but it is her overall understanding of the company and her drive and initiative that make such a difference.” said AICO CEO Michael Amini. “She is a truly valuable employee whose consistent effort and commitment are worthy of our highest recognition.”
The Spirit of Excellence was awarded to Danny Perez, Inventory Control Supervisor. “This award is given to individuals that demonstrate a passion for excellence in their work on a daily basis. Danny has been with AICO for over 4 years, and has had an impact on many areas of the company,” stated AICO President Martin Ploy.
Ploy also recognized Wes Williams from American West Worldwide Express as AICO’s Partner in Progress for outstanding service.
Mayra Olivares, Purchasing and Internal Audits Assistant, was presented with the Rising Star award. “Mayra has quickly become an important part of the AICO team, making significant contributions to a very fast moving and detailed area of our business”, said Executive Vice President Chuck Reilly.
Reilly also added “this is an evening of celebrating the AICO Spirit, and we also have awards for Attitude, Initiative, Commitment and Outstanding Service which spells AICO”.
Those awards went to Tannia Herroz, Mike Yarbrough, Robert Trevino and Jeff Dojillo.
