International Textile Alliance Announces Agenda for Their Spring Interwoven Textile Fair

The International Textile Alliance (ITA) has a new agenda set for their Spring Interwoven Textile Fair by ITA, taking place on May 21-24, 2023 in High Point, NC.

The Interwoven Textile Fair by ITA™ is sponsored by Cotton Incorporated, Crypton Home, Lenzing Fibers, and UNIFI, Inc. Held twice per year at International Market Center’s Market Square Tower (305 W High Ave, High Point, NC 27260) and throughout the downtown High Point market district. ITA member companies host more than 400+ buying companies during each of the biannual spring and fall events, making this a strategic and cost-effective venue for showing and viewing fabrics.

ITA is recognized as the go-to resource for textile professionals around the world and brings together over 150 + members that consist of fabric manufacturers and trimming wholesalers, textile mills, leather companies, textiles suppliers, and converter companies who display the most comprehensive fabric, leather, and trim presentations that weave the textile world together. 

The spring 2023 show will introduce 1000’s of new textiles across multiple categories and will feature 119 exhibitors, including 5 returning exhibitors, and 4 new exhibiting brands, Belosole Fabrics, Boyuan Home Furnishing Co. Ltd., Halo Fabrics International Limited, and Nelen & Delbeke. The exhibitors will converge to bring forth design and style trends, as well leveraging the latest techniques, innovations, and textile news, for the upcoming 2023 -2024 seasons.

Throughout the market, ITA also offers a daily buyer breakfast and a new buyer’s lounge designed to support the attendees, as well as hosting a series of educational events throughout the show that are held at the MSTT 5th Floor Seminar Room.

Carrie Dillon, managing director of the International Textile Alliance commented, “As we continue the rebranding process, we are excited to introduce two full days of education in addition to our professional trend galleries curated by global trend forecasting agency, FS (Fashion Snoops).

To highlight a few of the ITA’s educational events on Monday, May 22 at 11 am, Textiles 101 will offer a basic knowledge of the textile manufacturing process and is presented by Kevin von Allmen, Senior Director of Product Engineering & Sales Development Valdese Weavers. 

Also on Monday, May 22, there will be two discussions on sustainability, starting at 1 pm Scarlette Tapp, Executive Director, of the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC), will moderate “Begin with Better Blending: Innovative Fiber Solutions for the Sustainable Future of Furniture and Upholstery” panel discussion. Following this session at 3 pm Katie Kutskill, Technical Director, Sustainable Leather Foundation will present “Intro to Sustainability: ESG, Policy, and What to do Next.”

In partnership with Science in Design, on Tuesday, May 23, at 10 am attendees will discover new technologies, evolutionary inheritance, and designing for the unconscious mind, and neuroaesthetics – the convergence of science and design presented by Mike Petersen, President, Visionary Design Marketing. 

Also on Tuesday, May 23 at 11 am, FS (Fashion Snoops), the leading global trend forecasting agency, will deliver “Trend Forecast SS24” as they deep dive into the Spring/Summer ‘24 season for the textiles industry. Presented by VP of Creative, Home + Lifestyle, Jaye Anna Mize, who will offer an immersive presentation that breaks down the consumer insights, design direction, market alignment, and inspiration needed to approach the season ahead with confidence and clarity.

Jaye Anna Mize, Fashion Snoops, shared “We are seeing the shift towards wellness in all capacities reign the market at the moment - from more sustainable options to textiles that make you feel good to yarns that impact your overall wellbeing.”

During the upcoming event, ITA will introduce a trend gallery, curated by FS (Fashion Snoops) and in partnership with High Point Market Authority and American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame. The galleries are sponsored by Crypton Home, Culp Home Fashions, Springs Creative Home, and De Leo Textiles. The trend gallery is located on the 5th Floor Hub at Market Square.

Hamilton St, High Point, NC 27260), Resource Center (329 S Wrenn St, High Point, NC 27260) and Congdon Yards (410 W English Rd, High Point, NC 27260). Show dates and times are Sunday, May 21, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday, May 22, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Tuesday, May 23,  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Wednesday, May 24,  8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. ITA also shares their fall 2023 dates for the biannual Interwoven Textile Fair by ITA will change to a Tuesday-Thursday schedule on Nov. 14-16, 2023.
