Kingsdown to Introduce New K2 Latex Line at Las Vegas Summer Market

Luxury bedding manufacturer Kingsdown Inc. will debut the new K2 by Kingsdown™ Latex line at the Las Vegas Summer Market, July 29-Aug. 1. The new product line, comprised of two collections and six models, uses latex to achieve comfort with a unique buoyant feel.

“With latex, we’re able to achieve a specific feel that you can’t get from conventional foam,” said Frank Hood, president and CEO of Kingsdown. “Our customers have been asking for a latex collection, so the Las Vegas summer market feels like the ideal place to debut it.”

The K2 Latex line features a blend of natural latex with man-made materials, precisely engineered for increased consistency and durability. Its pinhole design increases airflow and is inherently more breathable than polyurethane foams. “The new line provides a luxurious feel on the surface of the mattress that otherwise is difficult to achieve,” said Hood. “Since latex was being asked for, we decided to present it in a new version of one of our most popular lines.”

The original K2 line, which has the tagline of being “the Koolest Mattress in the World™,” was launched a year ago. This new line features six different models, varying in firmness and plushness. All models are foam-based, featuring a combination of Talalay Latex and cooling resilient gel foam for pressure relief. For an even more refreshing feel, Kingsdown has integrated centi(GR)ade cooling strips to remove excess body heat, helping achieve a naturally comfortable temperature. The three hybrid models utilize an individually wrapped 800 coil system, while foam models feature a motion base-conforming flex core with airflow channels. All six models contain spacer and zippered surround cooling covers for improved ventilation.

“With so many options to choose from, consumers can expect to find a mattress that satisfies their needs,” said Hood. The K2 Latex line ranges from $2,799 to $3,199.
