IKEA Introduces New Chest and Dressers Range with An Innovative Safety Feature

Furniture World News Desk on 10/1/2024

IKEA U.S. announces the debut of two new additions to the chest and dressers range, GULLABERG and STORKLINTA, with new innovative safety features and a modern sleek design.

Designed with a Scandinavian heritage influence, GULLABERG has details customers will love, including framed sides, a robust top, generous drawers and tapered legs. The product is available in both a dresser and a nightstand format in white and gray finishes.

STORKLINTA features a new sleek modern design, perfect for any home. The chest of drawers offers great storage capacity and is designed with integrated handles that can sit side-by-side to create a unified look or stand alone. In addition to chest of drawers in various sizes, the STORKLINTA series includes nightstands, glass tops and PAX doors.

“At IKEA, we are always looking for ways to be innovative; while also keeping affordability, quality and safety top of mind,” said Melissa Myers, Home Furnishings Business Leader for IKEA U.S. “We are thrilled to introduce these new families with their timeless designs and innovative stability features. We hope our customers fall in love.”

Designed with IKEA Patented Safety Technology

Through a rigorous development process, IKEA developed the patented Anchor and Unlock solution featured in many of the new IKEA chests and dressers. When attached to a wall, the new unlock mechanism enables multiple drawers of a chest to be opened simultaneously. This solution, when combined with wall anchoring, offers IKEA customers a safer choice for clothing storage furniture.

STORKLINTA and GULLABERG articles are available in IKEA U.S. stores and online, however certain articles and finishes have limited availability. The full range will be available nationwide this Fall.
