Dorel Home, a division of Dorel Industries Inc., has announced a partnership with 3D Cloud, a provider of 3D
product visualization solutions for the furniture industry. The collaboration focuses on improving Dorel’s 3D
visualization capabilities to streamline the production of lifestyle imagery for retailers and partners.
"The 3D Cloud Room Planner brings scale and simplicity to our visual content production workflow," said John White,
CIO of Dorel Industries. "It will help us better support our retailers and partners by providing more efficient and
tailored imagery faster than ever before."
Dorel will use the 3D Cloud Room Planner internally to address current workflow challenges, allowing its teams to
create a wide array of lifestyle renders more quickly and cost-effectively than with traditional CGI methods. This
tool will help Dorel produce customized, high-quality imagery that aligns with the specific needs of its partners
and dealers, enhancing Dorel’s marketing efforts and reducing time to market.
Initially, the 3D Cloud Room Planner rollout will focus on Dorel’s indoor furniture lines, with a broader
catalog integration planned over time. The company expects the tool to contribute to stronger relationships with
major retailers by providing content syndication options and streamlined visualization resources. The internal
implementation of the 3D Cloud Room Planner is expected to begin in the first half of 2025.
In addition to the Room Planner, Dorel plans to expand its 3D program with other 3D Cloud visualization tools,
including augmented reality and additional product renders. Brands under Dorel’s portfolio—such as
Ameriwood Home, DHP Furniture, Signature Sleep, Systembuild Evolution, CosmoLiving by Cosmopolitan, Novogratz, and
Mr. Kate—are anticipated to benefit from these advancements.
"3D Cloud has proven themselves as a leader in 3D solutions for the home furnishings industry, from their top-tier 3D
Commerce Summit – the industry’s leading educational program for retailers – to their unmatched
expertise in 3D digital asset management and rendering," White added.
Beck Besecker, CEO and Co-Founder of 3D Cloud, commented, "Dorel is a leading manufacturer of home furnishings in
North America. Their team has done their due diligence and are laser-focused on results. We’re excited to
partner with them on this important initiative."
