Joybird and Pantone Collaborate on 2025 Color of the Year Furniture Collection

Furniture World News Desk on 12/6/2024

Joybird, a subsidiary of La-Z-Boy Incorporated and a manufacturer of customizable upholstered furniture, has announced an exclusive collaboration with Pantone for a furniture collection featuring the 2025 Pantone Color of the Year, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse. The collection utilizes Joybird’s popular performance fabric, Royale, and is available across more than 300 of the brand’s furniture silhouettes, including sofas, sectionals, bed frames, and accent chairs.

The collaboration brings Pantone’s expertise in color trends and Joybird’s focus on vibrant home furnishings to create what the company describes as a versatile collection that blends earthy tones with a modern aesthetic. The collection is now available for purchase at www.joybird.com/collaborations/pantone.

“The Joybird x Pantone collection evokes a sense of tranquility to deliver a harmonious home,” said Gifty Walker, Director of Merchandising & Sourcing at Joybird. “Joybird has been rooted in color since its inception, which makes presenting the Pantone Color of the Year 2025 through our furniture and decor the perfect pairing. The Joybird x Pantone collection inspires a home that supports connections, radiates warmth, and adds approachable sophistication to any space.”

Features of the Collection

The Joybird x Pantone collection features the Greenguard Gold-certified Royale fabric in PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a soft brown hue that Pantone describes as “earthy yet refined.” Known for its durability, the performance fabric is easy to clean, machine washable, and suitable for homes with children and pets. Its silk-like texture and fine knit velvet weave contribute to its appeal for those seeking comfort and functionality.

Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute, commented on the collection: “A rich brown infused with sensorial warmth, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse nourishes our senses. This new collection in partnership with Joybird stylishly brings this earthy yet refined brown hue into interior environments, blending our desire for comfort and opulence with relaxed elegance to present a tasteful touch of glamour.”

The collaboration will expand in Spring 2025, with three additional complementary Pantone colors being introduced to Joybird’s furniture frames, further enhancing the brand’s wide range of customizable options.

Multi-Channel Promotion and Showroom Experiences

Joybird will promote the collaboration through social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, digital and print marketing, and displays in all 12 of its showrooms nationwide. Select showrooms in SoHo, West Hollywood, and Downtown Los Angeles will feature immersive installations showcasing the Pantone Color of the Year in a floor-to-ceiling design concept.
