Ashley Furniture Hosts Ninth Annual Wreaths Across America Ceremony in Arcadia

Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC (Ashley) held its ninth annual Wreaths Across America ceremony on December 14 at Soldiers Walk Memorial Park in Arcadia, Wisconsin. The event, part of a national effort involving over 4,600 locations, brought the Arcadia community together to honor and remember veterans and active service members.

Participants, including Ashley employees, State Representative Warren Petryk, Ticker-Erickson American Legion Post 17, Boy Scout Troop 64, local veterans, and their families, laid wreaths at each war memorial in the park.

During Wreaths Across America ceremonies, volunteers place live balsam wreaths at memorials and cemeteries, supported by individual and organizational sponsorships. The tradition includes speaking each service member's name aloud during the wreath placement to preserve their legacy.

“It is my distinct honor and privilege to be asked to share a few thoughts today as we remember the wonderful young men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of people here in The United States of America,” said State Representative Warren Petryk. “As Chairman of the Wisconsin Assembly Committee on Veterans from 2012-2014, and still today a member of the Committee, I am grateful to be a strong advocate for helping our Wisconsin Veterans who served our Nation.”

In addition to hosting the Arcadia ceremony, Ashley Distribution Services (ADS) participated in the nationwide effort. As part of the Wreaths Across America ‘Honor Fleet,’ ADS trucks delivered wreaths to cemeteries across the East Coast. Since 2017, ADS has transported 52 loads, totaling more than 233,000 wreaths, to over 280 cemeteries.
