Furniture First Announces Internal Web Site

Furniture First, a geographically exclusive buying group, has recently announced that their internal Web site is "up and running" and ready for Web surfers to peruse. The internal Web site, located at furniturefirst.net, is comprised of two areas: one for prospective members, and one for current Furniture First members. Passwords to log onto the Web site have been assigned to current members. Prospective members must obtain a password for entry into the Web site, and can do so by either calling the Furniture First office at: (717) 540-9725, or by e-mailing Bill Hartman at: bhartmanff@aol.com. The prospective member portion of the Web site gives an overview of Furniture First, listing the cooperative's mission statement, vision, board of directors and committees, internal publications, symposiums and meetings, and current vendor and supplier partners. The Web site also tells prospective members what qualifications they need to become a member, and how to apply for membership. The current member portion of the Web site includes: a library of their weekly newsletters; a "virtual" copy of their Master Program Guide (which lists their current supplier and vendor deals and programs); current Market Specials, electronic copies of the Monthly Reports, stored by month and year; organizational policies, Strategic Alliance Partners, an Administrative Office area; and a complete directory of member stores including contacts, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses. A Chat Room is currently in the works and is expected to be posted by the October Furniture Market.
