Interior Lifestyle China announced that it will return from 11 – 14 November 2009 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, Shanghai, China. The third annual edition in 2009 will feature a preview of the latest products, design and information in the world of luxury household and consumer goods items. More importantly, the business platform will offer access to the best buyers from some of China’s wealthiest metropolitans such as Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu, among many more.
Last year, more than 8,000 visitors from 35 countries and regions attended the show, including key buyers from home interior products-related importers, wholesalers, retailers, department stores, manufacturers and designers.
China’s consumer consumption and luxury goods market is still going strong amidst the economic slowdown – retail sales of consumer goods grew 22% in the first 10 months of 2008 from the same period the year before. High home ownership rates and more disposable income are helping to foster a growing middle class with a keen interest in fashionable yet functional interior lifestyle products.
As the perception of ‘lifestyle brands’ in housewares in China is developing to be more consistent with other global markets, products like bedding, which reflect improving living standards, are increasingly popular. The top three most popular household products include home textiles, kitchenware and tableware.
As well as sourcing high-end consumer lifestyle products, exhibitors and visitors will have an exclusive opportunity to take part in award ceremonies, vibrant forums showcasing both Chinese and international talent plus many educational seminars.
