Vincenzo Scocuzza, National Sales Manager of the new Italian Homes, announced that he will be bringing some familiar names to the IHFC. As a distributor for high-end leather upholstery manufacturers CaliaItalia and Nicoletti, Scocuzza is bringing these well-known brands back to the IHFC. “Our showroom is actually in Nicoletti’s old space in the IHFC,” he said. The showroom is on the eighth floor of the Design Center and is accessible from the Design Center escalators and the Green Wing elevators. For the upcoming Market, Scocuzza’s focus is on small to medium sized accounts. Italian Homes’ LCL (Less-Than-Container Load) capabilities as well as the ease with which customers can mix products from both collections in their order should attract a lot of buyers, he said. The company maintains a distribution center in North Carolina. Making its High Point Market debut on the tenth floor of the Design Center, Spagnesi spa, a Tuscany-based manufacturer of leather upholstery, introduces its unique tailoring and good-better-best merchandising program. “We specialize in furniture made in 2- and 3-milimeter hides, tailored with very thick threads. It’s a very special tailoring only done in Tuscany,” said Mauro Bracciale, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. The fine tailoring line represents the company’s “best” and retails for $2,999, Bracciale said. “But our price points reach down to $1,199 in our good program.” Spagnesi spa will bring 32 styles to their High Point debut. Opening in 1921, IHFC was the original showroom building in High Point and after 87 years of expansion remains the centerpiece of the world’s largest home-furnishings trade show that attracts more than 90,000 participants twice a year to 2,000 showrooms covering 11.5 million square feet. IHFC alone is home to 650 of the leading home-furnishings manufacturers, including 13 of the top 20 companies, and covers 3.5 million square feet.
