Premier Bedding Group Names Richard Brass VP Sales, Pacific Northwest

Industry veteran Richard (Dick) Brass has joined Premier Bedding Group (PBG), a mattress company and the exclusive North American licensee of Bassett-branded mattresses, as Vice President of Sales, Pacific Northwest region, it was announced today by Mike Ertel, President and Chief Operating Officer, PBG. In his new role, Brass is responsible for all sales activities of the company's four brands in the Northwest including retail sales training, advertising and merchandising. In addition, he will be developing a sales force to cover the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. "We are very enthusiastic about adding Dick to our roster of major league sales associates," said Ertel. "Under his leadership, we are confident that our customer base in the Northwest region of the country will flourish and that they will be well served." Brass brings to Premier Bedding Group a unique understanding of the mattress industry, having held positions with both manufacturers and retailers. His previous experience includes serving as Vice President of a chain of sleep shops in California and Advertising and Marketing Director for Michael's Furniture, one of Idaho's largest furniture retailers. He also was Key Account Representative for the Serta Mattress Company, working with department stores in Southern California, and worked as Regional BackCare Sales Manager for Simmons Company in Pacific Northwest.
