The National Home Furnishings Association’s (NHFA) New England Chapter announced that members and guests will gather for a fun-filled day of golf and camaraderie, all in a good cause.
The Chapter’s Second Annual Golf Tournament will take place July 22 at the Stow Acres Country Club in Stow, Mass. The event will again benefit the New England Home for Little Wanderers. The charity’s mission statement summarizes its objectives: “To ensure the healthy emotional, mental and social development of children at risk, their families and communities.”
Programs supporting the mission range from early intervention for infants with problems to special education for older children. Foster care and adoption programs are also among the organization’s initiatives on behalf of children.
The day’s events will include 18 holes of golf, luncheon, raffle and presentation of awards. Last year’s tournament netted some $3000 for The Home.
Jonathan Boyle, Circle Furniture, Acton, Mass., is tournament chairman. To register or for more information on participating as a player and/or sponsor, contact Nicole Filippo at NHFA, (800) 888-9590, ext. 6151 or visit www.nhfa.org/ne.
