Western Home Furnishings Association, in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, announced the launch of a new advocacy Web site,
www.WHFAvoice.com.
WHFAvoice.com is designed to bring western retailers up-to-date information regarding legislation under development at the state and federal level through a continuous news feed. Retailers can also take action on current issues by easily logging in to the site and sending pre-written letters to their local, state and federal legislators.
“The site easily allows WHFA members to take action on specific issues concerning the industry,” said WHFA’s Executive Director Sharron Bradley. “Once a person has created a profile in the system, they will be able to customize and send letters to their state or federal legislators. The whole process is very simple to use and can be completed within a matter of minutes.”
This site also provides a link to the NHFA Washington Report, a monthly report developed for WHFA/NHFA members by our NHFA lobbyist that provides information on federal legislation affecting the industry.
“It is important that retailers participate in the legislative process, and this site is a great way to help facilitate it,” Bradley added. “We encourage all of our members to visit the site and let their voice be heard on the issues that will affect them and their business.”
