World Market Center Las Vegas announced that it has asked experts from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to lead a workshop at Fall Las Vegas Market, Sept. 14 – 17, giving Market attendees the information and the tools needed to access millions of dollars in low interest and no interest loans.  The program is meant to directly assist retailers during these challenging economic times.

Dubbed “Money Market,” this informative session will educate Market attendees on how they can access up to $4 million for fixed asset financing, $2 million for working capital loans and lesser loans for smaller business needs. The program also will cover all of the many SBA loan programs available, who is eligible and how to apply. Immediately following the presentation, counselors will provide one-on-one assistance with the application process and information on how to best access these funds through accredited local banking institutions.

“Given the current state of the economy, access to this capital is crucial for companies in our industry,” said Robert Maricich, World Market Center Las Vegas President and Chief Executive Officer. “It is always our goal to help our partners thrive and we are confident that the ‘Money Market’ will offer keen insight into how retailers can boost cash flow and grow their businesses both in the short and long terms.”

“Money Market” will focus on Loan Guarantee Programs and how the SBA can help provide access to capital at very favorable conditions, including the $350 million set aside from ARC loans, offered as part of the Recovery Act; the 504 Loan Program, which provides funds for long-term fixed asset financing; and, the 7(A) Program, which provides loans of up to $2 million for working capital.

About SBAThe U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve the free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation. We recognize that small business is critical to our economic recovery and strength, to building America’s future, and to helping the United States compete in today’s global marketplace. Although SBA has grown and evolved in the years since it was established in 1953, the bottom line mission remains the same. The SMA helps Americans start, build and grow businesses. Through an extensive network of field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations, SBA delivers its services to people throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam.
