The Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) and Koelnmesse Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Koelnmesse GmbH, organizer of the imm cologne trade fair, announced a partnership with SFC to co-organize a SFC Group Exhibit at the January 2010 event.
SFC is a non-profit balanced coalition of industry players based in High Point, NC which was founded in October 2006 to promote sustainable practices among manufacturers, retailers, and consumers alike. During imm cologne SFC will organize a seminar program called "GREEN-Sell” featuring how to position, market and sell sustainable furnishing products. Details on time and location of this seminar will be provided later this year.
imm cologne is the world’s most international furnishing and accessories industry trade show organized by product category in 10 different halls of the Cologne fairgrounds.
Attendees of this annual trade show will be retailers, distributors, interior designers, architects, designers, facility managers and the suppliers to the furnishing industry. The last event in 2009 brought together 1,057 exhibitors from 49 countries with 100,000 attendees from 113 countries.
The SFC Pavilion at imm cologne is designed to increase the focus on sustainable practices among international retailers, architects, designers and consumers and will highlight the efforts of U.S. brands along those lines.
