CHR February Course For Furniture Reps

IHFRA, the International Home Furnishing Representatives Association, recently offered the Certified Home Furnishings Representatives (CHR) course in High Point, NC. As a professional association whose objective is to help good representatives become better representatives, IHFRA seeks to improve the value and contribution of the Home Furnishings representative to the industry, manufacturers, retailers, and to members’ families. The CHR designation, achievable by completing the CHR course and exam offered through IHFRA, adds further distinction to the representative and his/her commitment to professional excellence.
Eighteen candidates completed the weeklong course led by professional instructors Dr. Al Bates of The Profit Planning Group, David Denis of Freedom Speakers and Trainers, and Paul (Pablo) Polding of The Polding Partners Inc., as well as Klingman’s Furniture COO, Bob Groters. Attending the February course were Uchechi Agomuo of Glovon & Clovon, Inc., Kelley Anderton of Pacific Ventures Furnishings, Matthew Bruch of Hickory Hill, Jerry Costin of Hickory Chair, Jeffrey Fox of Pulaski Furniture, Jeff Keefer of Hooker Furniture, PJ Lenfert of Hickory Hill, Janet McPeake of Pulaski Furniture, Richard Meadors of Hickory Hill, Kevin Mehlhaff of Smith Brothers and Richardson Brothers, John Payne of Hickory Chair, Rebecca Price of Uwharrie Chair, John Schumer of Hickory Hill, Jon Smith of Hickory Chair, Daniel Sterling of Berkline/Benchcraft, Vonica Tamney of Bard International, Artistry Designs and Tempo Lighting, Thomas Williams of Artifact/L. J. Solomon of D’avignon, and Terry Ammons of IHFRA. Upon completing the CHR exam, these individuals will be eligible for the CHR designation.
