Goldwood Crossing International provides services to both early stage ventures, including start-ups and corporate venturing projects, and middle market companies facing specific growth challenges and opportunities. Using a customized, multifunctional approach, Goldwood Crossing International enables companies to succeed in a rapidly changing marketplace by providing both strategy and tactical implementation for smart growth. "Chuck Haywood brings a valued depth of experience to the table, thus serving as a trusted advisor to furnishings industry executives," said Vicki Sharif, President & CEO of Goldwood Crossing International. Haywood possesses over 40 years of experience in the furnishings industry, both in corporate and entrepreneurial environments, having worked as the Division President of Drexel and held other high level posts with Sperry and Hutchinson Furniture Division (which is now known as Ladd Furniture Industries), Lane, and American Drew. He began Knob Creek of Morganton, Inc., a company that was subsequently sold to Ethan Allen. As a former co-owner of Tomlinson Furniture Company, Haywood served as a general partner of the real estate company that successfully transformed the Tomlinson Factory buildings into Market Square, a central exhibit space in High Point. "Furnishings industry executives today face new challenges associated with both technology and the global marketplace. We are eager to serve them to wade through contemporary issues and emerge with solid, action-able growth plans," Haywood said. Haywood, who is recognized for his contributions to the furniture industry, has also worked with American Furnishings International, an import/export firm focusing on Russian and Korean markets. Most recently, Haywood has served as a manufacturer's liaison for designonlineinc.com, a business-to-business e-commerce company in the furnishings industry.
