Breuners Home Furnishings, the oldest, privately held retailer of fine furniture in the United States, is preparing to move its Campbell store at 525 E. Hamilton Ave. to a new location in early 2005. Breuners currently operates ten stores in the San Francisco Bay area and is a leader in offering the finest quality, value-priced brand name furniture to residents of Northern California. The Campbell store, the highest volume store in the Breuners’ family, will not move far from its current convenient location but just across the parking lot. This April, Breuners will break ground on the new building in order to make room for a new tenant in the center. The new 73,000 square foot building will be multi-storied with three levels. A modern in-store design center will offer private consultations to customers who need assistance in designing and decorating, whether it is a single room or their entire home. The Campbell showroom will also include a rug gallery and offer custom window treatments in order to ensure the decorating and design needs of its customers are met. To provide consumers with all the furniture possibilities by style or designer, the new store location will be the first in the Breuners chain to display furniture in a lifestyle merchandising layout as opposed to separating the furniture by rooms or function. This lifestyle technique allows shoppers to view furniture according to their favorite design or styles to help them better anticipate how the furniture and accessories will complement their homes before they purchase. “The move is a win-win situation for us because we retain the same great location but gain a brand new, modern facility to showcase our furniture,” said G. Joseph Reddington, chairman and chief executive officer of Breuners Home Furnishings Corporation, parent of Breuners Home Furnishings. “Although the Campbell store will have a fresh, new feel and design, customers can still count on the same high level of service and merchandise assortment.” AIG Properties, based in Neenah, Wisconsin, is the developer leading the reconstruction of the center. The Bergman Architecture Companies in Chino, California, has been retained to develop and manage the architectural and interior design of the store. Breuners operates 10 stores in the Sacramento Valley and San Francisco Bay areas, featuring quality, value-priced brand name furniture. A staff of professional sales associates are committed to helping you select the perfect furniture whether a simple accent or an entire houseful. With a history that stretches back to 1856, Breuners Home Furnishings Corporation operates 46 stores under three distinct retail furniture brands throughout Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania in the Northeast, and in California on the West Coast. The three BHFC store brand names include Breuners, Good’s and Huffman Koos.
