aspenhome announced that for the ninth consecutive year, TODAY’S Al Roker is traveling across the country for his annual “Lend a Hand” campaign trip. Roker’s goodwill road trips help small charities that work towards improving conditions in their communities. He kicked off this years’ trip earlier in the week in San Francisco and when he stops in Memphis on Thursday aspenhome® will be there with a large furniture donation for the New Ballet Ensemble and School in the heart of Midtown Memphis.
The New Ballet Ensemble and School brings a diverse population of students together by providing a professional standard of training, regardless of their ability to pay. The beautifully renovated 14,500 square foot ballet studio needed office furniture to continue to operate. aspenhome donated not only office furniture but furniture for the lobby and conference room as well from their popular Destination Collection.
Bill Colegrove, aspenhome CEO, said when the World Market Center Las Vegas team brought this need to our attention we were excited to help and immediately jumped on it. “We were impressed with the New Ballet School philosophy and are pleased to support Al Roker’s Lend a Hand campaign to aid organizations that have a positive impact in local communities.”
aspenhome’s $20,000 donation of the Destination Collection included the Writing Desk, Rolling File, 48” Desk with Hutch, Chairs and a Bookcase Wall for the office, the Trestle Table with 12 Chairs and a Server for the conference room and a Sofa, Loveseat and round Cocktail Table for the lobby area. The Destination collection was inspired by the early 20th century Moderne period and captures the essence of the Jazz age while integrating the 21st century “ah factors”. It has exquisite signatures of inlayed marquetry, rosewood and cherry woods, custom brass filigree hardware and Lalique inspired glasswork on elegant furnishings. aspenhome furniture can be found in Memphis at Great American Home Store and Royal Furniture or by visiting www.aspenhome.net to find a dealer near you.
