Capel Rugs announced that it will be treating showroom visitors to a variety of cozy new collections at this summer's Atlanta International Area Rug Market. Responding to the growing consumer demand for durable yet stylish home furnishings, Capel will be presenting notable new collections in both the braided and soft contemporary categories.
"After the long winter, consumers are eager to spruce up their homes with something new, but they also want something that will look great for years to come," said Allen Robertson, Capel's Vice President of Sales. "With that in mind, Capel has created durable and easy to care for collections that follow the latest home furnishings trends."
New braids for market include the bright, crisp Hampton collection. Showroom visitors can also enjoy an American Originals™ favorite, the cozy yet durable Autumn Valley. Taking the versatility and functionality of braids to the next level, Capel has created Songbird Nesters, baskets inspired by one of the company's most celebrated collections.
Additions to Capel's fastest growing soft contemporary category include the striking, nature-inspired Floral Silhouette and the Lodi Garden collection's new pattern, Wildflowers. Available in colorways to match a variety of tastes, these rugs are show-stopping pieces that are sure to enhance any space.
The Capel Rugs showroom in Atlanta is located at Merchandise Mart, space 6F2, and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Atlanta International Area Rug Market will be held July 15-18, 2010.

Songbird Nesters
Capel Rugs is taking its world-class wool braids to the next level with its first offering of braided baskets. Songbird baskets are terrific coordinates to its wool blend Songbird area rug or stand alone as terrific braided accessories. These braided baskets, crafted in our own mills in North Carolina, are offered individually or sold in sets of three called Songbird Nesters. A set of three baskets may retail for $280.
Floral Silhouette
A strikingly graceful, sweeping floral pattern in glistening, high cut viscose wanders over a field of wool for a textured effect. The low-cut loop, hand knotted ground is expertly woven by hand in an ancient Nepalese construction by mature artisans in India. These true works of art are heirlooms in the making. The Floral Silhouette collection is available in the colorways sauterne, onyx, robin's egg and champagne. A 5' x 8' rug may retail for $1,499.
Autumn Valley
Autumn Valley Rugs offer space-dyed chenille in beautiful earth tones. Soft to the feet but extremely durable, these rugs are reversible for twice the wear. Autumn Valley braids are made in the USA. Crafted in our North Carolina mills, Capel Braids-American Originals™ are our most versatile rugs. Available shapes include concentric, cross sewn, oval, rectangle, round and runner. Hampton
The crisp basket weave look of Capel Rugs' new Hampton woven rug is a standout texture and is reminiscent of menswear-inspired furnishing fabrics. Capel's Hampton Collection area rugs are woven by hand with sturdy wool blend yarns and are crafted with a low pile for maximum comfort and durability.
