Gold Bond announced that it is addressing one of the most common compromises about two-sided mattresses-- durability at the cost of too firm feels.

Debuting at the upcoming Las Vegas Market this August 2 to 6, 2010 is the company’s Sacro-Support Westport, Litchfield and Greenwich collections, aimed at delivering much sought after softness in a long lasting, two-sided product.  It will address the needs of consumers who today want a softer, plusher, more responsive feel than in prior generations.

“Our two-sided mattresses have been associated with firmer feels because they are built to last and employ sturdy, resilient materials that can withstand the test of time,” said Gold Bond President Robert Naboicheck.  “Our retailers are taking advantage of our decades of experience as a leader in this category and the solutions we offer for today’s consumer. The newest Sacro- Support collections not only round out Gold Bond’s full array of two-sided offerings; it hits the right price point for today.”

Gold Bond’s newest two-sided products in the under-$1,000 price category include an all-new, soft and luxurious Damask fabric which is typically found in higher-end bedding. Super soft high resiliency foam and plush fiber is quilted to the fabric. Under the quilting are layers of more super soft foam to bring resilient support.  Durable full-body support comes from its 416-coil 13 gauge innerspring unit, the Steel Spring Edge Support providing an edge-to-edge sleeping surface, and the all-steel foundation which is used in all Gold  Bond mattress sets.

Inspired by some of Connecticut’s most prestigious towns, the Westport, Litchfield and Greenwich collections range in profile from 10.5 to 15 inches.  The line carries a suggested retail price of $599 to $849 in queen.
Gold Bond products are handcrafted in Connecticut with the majority of the raw material made in America.  They incorporate the latest comfort technologies such as Talalay Latex in the Countess Encased Coil collection and memory foam in the Visco Classic futon line.

The new Regency Encased Coil mattress will also debut at the summer Market. Retailing from $799 in queen, the Regency offers edge-to-edge springs versus foam-encased coils.  The full Encased Coil range, priced from $599 to $1,199, is available with two fabric choices.

The new collection can be viewed at Gold Bond’s Las Vegas Market showroom, space B-906 this August 2-6, 2010.
