Ethan Allen announced that it has proudly partnered with HGTV as primary furnisher of the 15th annual HGTV Dream Home. Located in picturesque Spruce Peak at Vermont’s Stowe Mountain Resort, the HGTV Dream Home 2011 seamlessly blends modern architecture and rustic mountain appeal to create a luxuriously livable four-season retreat—dressed to the nines in Ethan Allen style. Linda Woodrum, interior designer for the HGTV Dream Home 2011, selected furniture, fabrics, and decorative accessories earlier this year during a visit to the Ethan Allen flagship Design Center in Manhattan.

“This is the first-ever HGTV Dream Home in Vermont, and it was particularly special for us that among the furnishings Linda selected were pieces hand-crafted at the Ethan Allen workshop in Orleans, Vermont,” said Ethan Allen’s Director of Interior Design, Marta Eriquez. “This is the fifth consecutive Dream Home that Ethan Allen has furnished and we’re always excited to see the outcome,” she added.

Approximately seventy percent of Ethan Allen’s products are manufactured in the United States and the Ethan Allen workshop in Orleans is just one of the company’s six U.S. facilities.

With a gourmet kitchen, three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and several creatively designed living spaces, the HGTV Dream Home presented a fabulous platform for showcasing Ethan Allen’s diverse styles of furniture and accessories. In the ski dorm, four sets of Dylan bunk beds provide sleeping accommodations for eight. Bold, earthy tones reminiscent of a morning sun are reflected in the colors of the room’s rug, ottomans, and bedcoverings. The master bedroom sports a black Barrett canopy bed and a pair of Parker chairs in a menswear-check fabric. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows adorned in custom Ethan Allen draperies offer spectacular mountain views. In the dining room, a large, rectangular parson’s leg dining table (made in the USA of responsibly harvested Appalachian timber) is surrounded by ten chrome and black leather Sutton chairs—a juxtaposition of styles that pays homage to the home’s architectural details.

Participating Ethan Allen Design Centers will host free Style Workshops in February to help clients create their own dream homes. See ethanallen.com for Design Center locations and more details.

Only one lucky person will win the HGTV Dream Home 2011, but the design pros at Ethan Allen see every home as a dream home in the making. Ethan Allen’s diversity of fashion-forward styles and ability to provide nearly everything for the well-designed home has made it a favorite of style-hungry one-stop shoppers. Customization, quality, and cutting-edge technology are key ingredients of the company’s value to its clients. Visit ethanallen.com for a look at how it all came together.
