Roomful Express Going-Out-of-Business Sale Nearly Doubles Customer Traffic

Roomful Express stores reported that its 10 Pittsburgh area stores are attracting higher than normal store traffic, nearly doubling the number of customer visits during the time of its going-out-of-business (GOB) sale that began on December 10. 

After the first month of this going out of business sale, the discounts for furniture and accessories have just been increased to at least 60% off of compare prices. Customers also may choose 12 months, same as cash financing.

In an effort to achieve a successful liquidation of the current inventory of furniture, accessories and rugs, the company now responsible for Roomful Express has stepped up its GOB sale discount, and is offering 12 months free financing for all purchases.  In addition, customers are able to purchase from new inventory and order furniture through Ashley Furniture and other furniture groups that are working closely with Roomful in this special sale.

“Following an initial high volume of customer inquiries, we have greatly reduced the number of outstanding issues from customers who were previously concerned about their purchases and pending deliveries,” said Greg Theobald, vice president of sales at Roomful.  “In fact, we have taken care of resolving most of the customer inquiries received.  Our goal all along has been – and continues to be – to make sure that every customer is satisfied with the outcome of their purchase.  Also, there are many new customers coming to our stores who are attracted by the deep discounts this special sale offers for a limited time period until inventories are depleted.”   

In recent weeks, the company responsible for the GOB sale has re-established inventory supply with key furniture manufacturers and wholesalers which has kept store inventory fresh during this special sale period.  Also in recent weeks, customers have received letters and are being directed to the web site --  www.roomfulexpress.com – for a set of instructions outlining most circumstances a customer may be experiencing with a deposit order or delivery.  In addition, customers may contact Roomful’s customer service center from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. daily at 1-888-696-7378.  Every customer inquiry is being handled individually and on a sequential basis.
