Indian Textile Fair To Be Held in New Deli From January 29-February 1, 1998

Tex-Styles India, 98 - the premier show of textiles in Asia, will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from January 29 - February 1, 1998. The fair will be a window to the Indian textile industry featuring a wide range of products such as yarns, fibers, fabrics, home furnishings, trimmings, embellishments and accessories along with other related areas like CAD/CAM systems, trade publications and services. More than just a trade show, Tex-Styles India will represent the new, competitive spirit of the textile business where the industry will define itself for the new millennium. Other highlights of the event will be Style-Shows, Trend forum, Trend Card, Fabric Folio Pavilion, Theme Pavilion, an audio-visual presentation on the latest trends prevailing in the international scene and a film on the developments in the textile industry. The third Tex-Styles India held in January 1997 at the same venue was a big success with a turnout of over 10,000 business visitors from 73 countries. These included representatives from leading business houses, designers, textile experts, fashion forecasters and was widely covered in the national and international media. Tex-Styles India will give the visitor a glimpse of the past, present and future of Indian textiles. The over 250 participating companies will display a wide range of textile and textile related products which will enable a buyer to have a choice of color, texture and price. Additional features like a film on the textile industry will take the visitor on a visual tour of the Indian textile industry through the ages. The Trend Forum, Trend Card, audio-visual presentation by the International Wool Secretariat and the Style Show on the ramp will project future global trends and their interpretations by leading designers in India and abroad with a look of spring/summer 1999 and fall/winter 1999. The Indian textile industry, over the years has established itself as the largest foreign exchange earner constituting one third of the country's total exports. India is emerging a one-stop destination for sourcing a variety of textile products including cotton, silk, synthetic and also the eco-friendly products in jute, coir and other natural fibers. The Tex-Styles India Fair is organized annually in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi has firmly established itself as the premier textile event in South-East Asia, comparable with the international textile fairs Interstoff, Premier Vision and Heimtextil.
