La-Z-Boy Incorporated announced that Greg White, Senior Vice President of Sales and Merchandising, for La-Z-Boy Residential, has resigned to pursue an entrepreneurial venture.

White (43) began his career at La-Z-Boy in 1988 in the Customer Service area and progressed through the company, taking on various positions of increasing responsibility.  He was named Senior Vice President of Sales and Merchandising in 2008.

Kurt L. Darrow, President and Chief Executive Officer, of La-Z-Boy Incorporated, said, “Greg has spent his entire career at La-Z-Boy and has demonstrated his unwavering commitment and dedication to customers, suppliers and all his colleagues.  He excelled in many different areas of the company, finding his passion for merchandising and was instrumental in the transformation of our product line to one that is more stylish and competitive. He has been a great leader of our sales team and will be missed by all.  While we are disappointed by his departure, we understand his desire to pursue other opportunities.  We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and are appreciative of his many years of service to our great company.”

Greg White said, “La-Z-Boy is literally in my blood and it will always be a part of me.  I have enjoyed my many years at the company and have gained experience in a multitude of areas and made many friends both within the company and throughout the industry.  At this point in my life, I have aspirations to pursue opportunities outside of the furniture industry and am looking forward to new professional challenges.  I leave behind a great team of colleagues who will undoubtedly continue to move the company forward.”
Until a replacement is named, all of White’s direct reports will report to Darrow.
