Ashley Furniture HomeStore's announced that its "A Hope to Dream" program, which was founded in 2010, is aiming to provide new Ashley-Sleep™ mattress sets to even more children in need with its latest round of nominations.
Since the program began last year, Ashley has made a $5 quarterly donation to A Hope to Dream for every mattress purchased by customers at participating locations. These donations go toward purchasing new kids' beds for less fortunate children, who are nominated by local community members.
"Every child should have a warm, safe place to lay their heads each night. Unfortunately, too many kids are lacking this most fundamental need," says Todd Wanek, President & CEO, Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. "Thanks to our valued customers and thoughtful community members, Ashley has been able to provide 183 children with new beds -- and we plan to continue those efforts throughout 2011.
Winning nominations are chosen based on originality, need and expression of thought. The next selection will be in the last week of March, with winners notified the first week of April 2011.
