Karel Exposition Management's Long Beach Furniture And Accessory Market Enjoys Largest Turnout Ever; Plans To Expand In 2003

The largest regional furniture and accessory trade show in Southern California will grow even larger next year. Karel Exposition Management's Long Beach Furniture and Accessory Market, scheduled for November 23-25, 2003 at the Long Beach Convention Center, will expand from two to three halls and from 800 to 1,000 exhibitors displaying the merchandise from around the country. The decision to expand the show was based on the response from the 2002 show held in late November. "We had a tremendous response this year, so we're setting the stage for a larger 2003 Long Beach Furniture and Accessory Market," said Larry Karel, president of Karel Exposition Management, which has been producing regional furniture trade shows for 50 years. The Long Beach market will showcase the latest trends in furniture, lighting, bedding and accessories. It is the largest furniture and accessory show of its kind in Southern California and open only to manufacturer reps and distributors who work directly with retailers, designers and specialty stores. "Our shows are more popular than ever because they offer exhibitors the opportunity to open new accounts, establish after-market leads and talk directly with many hundreds of buyers on a regional level," said Karel. "These buyers are able to see the latest styles of furniture and decorative accessories as well as stay current with trends in the marketplace without having to travel extensive distances." The largest producer of regional furniture markets in the U.S., Karel Exposition Management is coming off one of its best years ever, with waiting lists for many of its upcoming markets. In fact, more than 100 exhibitors at the Long Beach show booked the Las Vegas show scheduled for May 17-19, 2003.
