Jerry Craig Is New Directory Sales & Marketing For Purnell Furniture Services

Jerry Craig has recently accepted the position of Director of Sales Marketing for Purnell Furniture Services. Craig’s responsibilities include client development in the southeast region of Purnell’s service area as well as advertising, Web page development, and what Craig describes as “Client Care”. He feels that nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care about them. A native of Greensboro, N.C., Craig has more than 25 years of experience in the furniture transporting industry. He began his career with Overnite Transportation in Greensboro while still in high school and college. He worked in customer service, operations and sales and later moved into account management. Craig was Sales Manager and then Terminal Manager for Smith’s Transfer Corporation for a number of years before he and a partner started Transportation Solutions, a transportation consulting company. Prior to joining Purnell, Craig was General Manager of Thornton Furniture Carriers, the home delivery division of Wood-Armfield Furniture, Inc., in High Point, N.C.
