Badcock Announces Promotions At Mulberry Headquarters

W.S. Badcock Corporation, one of the largest furniture retailers in the United States, today announced several new promotions within their corporate office in Mulberry, Florida. The following employees were promoted to the level of vice president: -Cathy Allen has been named to vice president of merchandising, accessory category/dealer meeting planner. Previously she was Badcock’s accessories buyer. Before joining Badcock in 1984, Allen served as editor of the Graceville News in Graceville, Fla. -Albert Chattelle has been named vice president of collections. Previously, he was Badcock’s collection’s manager. Chattelle started with Badcock in 1973 as a temporary laborer in the warehouse receiving department. From there, he was promoted to collections manager in 1986, and now oversees all regional collection activities. Chattelle graduated from Mulberry High School. -Susanne Kastner has been named vice president of corporate store operations. Kastner joined Badcock in 2000 as director of corporate store operations. Previously, she spent many years in retail management and multi-store supervision, five of which she spent as director of store operations for BA Framer in Memphis, Tennessee. Kastner is a graduate of Vincennes University in Vincennes, Ind. -Gary Wiggs has been named vice president of merchandising, occasional/juvenile/outdoor categories. Previously Wiggs served as a buyer in Badcock’s merchandising department. Wiggs started with Badcock immediately after high school, working in the Mulberry retail store.
