AshleySleep, a division of Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., announced that it is showing its appreciation for military families across the nation by donating 1,300 AshleySleep(R) mattresses to Operation Homefront for distribution to families most in need of bedding. The mattresses, with a retail value of approximately $1 million, will also be used to upgrade bedding in the three Operation Homefront Villages in Gaithersburg, Md.; San Antonio, Texas; and Oceanside, Calif.
This donation continues Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.'s long standing tradition of honoring the military forces, including the creation of Soldiers Walk/Avenue of Heroes in Arcadia's Memorial Park, which includes a monument for each major conflict in which the United States has fought and is recognized as one of the premier war memorials in the United States outside of Washington, D.C.
