Top La-Z-Boy Sales Representatives Inducted Into Companyís Summit Club

La-Z-Boy Residential, honored its top-selling sales representatives with membership into the company's Summit Club. Inductees were announced at an awards dinner held Tuesday, October 17, at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. Bill Berg, sales representative for the New Mexico and El Paso, Texas territory in the western region, was presented with the prestigious La-Z-Boy Summit Award for 2000. The award, which is given annually, honors the yearís highest-performing sales representative or team. "The Summit Award is about more than just sales,î said Kurt L. Darrow, senior vice president of sales and marketing for La-Z-Boy Residential, who presented the award. ìIt recognizes an outstanding level of professionalism, personal integrity and sales performance, as well as loyalty and dedication to this company. Bill embodies these values to the fullest." Berg has been a sales representative with La-Z-Boy since 1994. This is the first time he has achieved recognition as a Summit Club inductee and the first time he has reached the pinnacle with the Summit Award. Seven other sales representatives were inducted into the 2000 Summit Club for outstanding achievement in sales: Howard Blakey (five-time winner), Ron Bumgarner (four-time winner), Ted Durdel (two-time winner), Eric Gatton (first-time winner in his own territory), Jim Spinks (two-time winner), Scott Tapp (first-time winner in his own territory) and Sandy Tropp (first-time winner).
