ASFD Fifth Annual Pinnacle Awards - We have the Finalists

The American Society of Furniture Designers (ASFD) announces the selection of finalists for the 2000 Pinnacle Design Achievement Awards. A total of 47 finalists were selected in 13 categories. The winners in each category will be announced at the Pinnacle Awards Ceremony on Friday evening, October 20 during the International Home Furnishing Market in High Point, N.C. The purpose of the Pinnacle awards program is to promote better design quality and encourage the recognition of furniture designers within the retail home furnishings industry. The Pinnacle Award sponsors include Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers, Casual Living magazine, FurnitureStyle magazine, Hafele America, Hickory Springs Manufacturing Co., Home Lighting & Accessories magazine, Laminating Materials Association, Leggett & Platt, Lilly Industries, NEST magazine, The October Company, and Wilsonart International. "ASFD is indebted to the distinguished panel of judges whose job was no easy task because of the increased number and overall quality of the entries from both small and large companies internationally" said Christine Evans, ASFD executive director.
