Young Home Furnishings Executives Launches Web Site

October 1, 2001 – Young Home Furnishings Executives (YHFE) will launch its new Web site during the upcoming International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, N.C. Located at www.YHFE.org, the new site will feature a career center and provide information about the organization, the industry and upcoming events. The job locator function in the career center will be accessible to both YHFE members and non-members. For a small fee, companies in the home furnishings industry will be able to establish links from the YHFE Web site to the job-listing page on their own Web sites. In an effort to continue attracting young talent to the industry, the organization will market this service to placement centers at colleges and universities across the country. "The new site will help take YHFE to the next level and ensure its place within the home furnishings industry as an important organization," said Gregory D. White, president of Young Home Furnishings Executives. "It will allow us to communicate with our current members, reach out to potential members and provide both with valuable resources." YHFE members will have exclusive, password-protected access to their own section of the Web site. The Member’s Lounge section will feature a current issue of the quarterly newsletter, a directory of YHFE members and sponsors and a list of upcoming events. Links to other industry organizations and archives of previous issues of the newsletter will be posted in this section, as well. Additionally, visitors interested in joining YHFE can find information about membership on the site. This information, along with general event listings, will be available to all visitors of the new Web site. YHFE is an organization designed to promote and retain young management people within the home furnishings industry. Its members must be under the age of 40 and involved in some aspect of the home furnishings industry.
