More than 25,000 dedicated soccer fans from all over braved the searing temperatures and high humidity levels to witness sizzling soccer matches and dazzling crowds at the recent Regional 3v3 Soccer Shootout in the west suburb of Lisle. But with all the games, music, food, and of course soccer, these people needed a place to rest and cool off. That's why Bay Furniture sponsored a Rest Area Tent, which provided event attendees with an opportunity to sit back in a comfortable Berkline recliner and put their feet up for a while. "With the non-stop activities happening all day, people appreciated the opportunity to get in the shade and rest on our comfortable furniture," said Bay Furniture President Rick Slovy. Great Furniture Donated to a Great Cause After the event, Bay Furniture donated all of the furniture used in the Rest Area Tent to THE CENTER for Enriched Living, a life enrichment and skill development center for children, adults and seniors with developmental disabilities with a primary diagnosis of mental retardation. THE CENTER, located in Riverwoods, has been helping families all over the Chicago area for over 30 years. Bay Furniture employees also gave away free samples donated by Chicago-based AMS Beverage of their popular WaterBoxTm, all natural spring water for young children. A family owned business for nearly 70 years; Bay Furniture is synonymous with quality home furnishings, great prices and exceptional service. Today's Bay Furniture has five showrooms conveniently situated in greater Chicagoland ... from Homewood on the south, to Fox Valley in the west, to Hoffman Estates in the northwest, to Lake Zurich in the north, and its newest location in Merrillville, Indiana.
