World Market Center SM , the largest and most comprehensive home furnishings Showroom and Convention Complex in the West, is being developed in fabulous Las Vegas, the Convention capital of the world. When fully developed, World Market Center SM will comprise 7.5 million square feet of home furnishings permanent showrooms and temporary exhibit space on a large campus. This spectacular new Market Center is designed by the world-renowned architect Jon Jerde- designer of Mall of America in Minneapolis, Belagio and Treasure Island Hotels in Las Vegas; and Horton Plaza in San Diego. World Market Center SM will take center stage in Las Vegas in 2003. World Market Center SM represents a dynamic new showcase for the industry in the new millennium, which will draw from all over the world. With 125,000 hotel rooms, more than any other city, Las Vegas provides more amenities than any other destination in the world for a facility of this kind. Dave Palmer, a highly respected furniture industry executive, has joined World Market Center SM as General Manager/Leasing Director. Palmer has an impressive 27-year track record in the business.
