Exel Direct To Manage Home Deliveries In Minneapolis-St. Paul For Major National Retailer

Exel, announced an agreement with J.C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE: JCP) to manage furniture home deliveries from its network service hub in Minneapolis-St. Paul. Exel serves seven other JCPenney markets, making it the department store chain's largest home delivery provider. "Much like our services in other markets, our capabilities in the Minneapolis-St. Paul region fit well with JCPenney's objective to enhance their customers' buying experience through consistent, reliable and professional home delivery of their big-ticket purchases," said George Csehill, director of business development, Exel Direct. The company's delivery specialists will deliver the merchandise into the home, unpack and assemble the furniture, and remove packing debris. Jim Kitz, vice president of business development, Exel Direct, commented, "From our early days as a two-truck operation in Buena Park, Calif., in 1970, to our presence today as JCPenney's primary home delivery provider, we have developed a loyal and trusting relationship based on a solid track record of success."
