Withit Elects New Officers

Women in the Home Industries Today (WithIt) has named 2002-2003 officers and directors. Karen McNeill Harris, president of McNeill Communications Group, High Point, will serve as president.
The new leadership also includes Jackie Hirschhaut of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association, vice president/president-elect; Kathi Cunningham, Four Hands Imports, secretary; and Darlene Leonard, BDO Seidman, treasurer. Kimberley Wray, The Connie Post Companies, moves to chairman of the executive committee.
Serving as board vice presidents and committee chairs are: Mary Leigh Wallace, McNeill Communications Group, membership; Michelle Lamb, Marketing Directions Inc./The Trend Curve, mentoring; Cheminne Taylor-Smith, BEDtimes Magazine, marketing; Caroline Hipple, Storehouse, education; and Tiffany Mullis, Vanguard Furniture, networking.
At-large board vice presidents include: Deborah Klein, sales representative; Henessy Wayser, French Heritage Reproductions; Carolyn Kinder, The Kinder Collection; and Gaye McCraw Outlaw, International Home Furnishings Center.
Serving as regional vice presidents are: Judy Anderson, Los Angeles/Southern California; Linda Carey, Ruddell & Associates, San Francisco/Northwest California; Sharon M. Ellis, FurnitureGuide.com, Dallas/Southwest; Marjorie Gilbert, sales representative, Florida; Kathe Holterman, Holterman & Co., Virginias/Carolinas; Heather J. Paper, Custom Publishing, Atlanta/Southeast; Ann M. Pfund, Pfund + Fleck, Metro/Northeast; and Julie M. Smith, Furniture Style, Chicago/Midwest.
WithIt, founded in 1997, encourages and develops leadership, mentoring, education and career opportunities for women in the home furnishings industry. Membership is open to all women in the industry.
