Palazzo Permanent Showroom Building Announces First Upscale Tenants

Palazzo, an upscale showroom building in the heart of the Hamilton-Wrenn district, announces its first five tenants. When completed in April 2002, the new showroom building will be anchored by Henkel-Harris Inc., Winchester, Va., fine 18th Century Furniture; Hancock & Moore, Hickory, N.C., fine upholstered furniture; Taylor King Furniture, Taylorsville, N.C., fine upholstered furniture; Jessica Charles, High Point, N.C., fine upholstered chairs; and Henkel- Moore, Winchester, Va., fine office furniture. All companies currently have showrooms in the Hamilton-Wrenn area. "We are proud to announce that these tenants have chosen Palazzo as their new home at the High Point International Home Furnishings Market," says Ann Pickering, Palazzo managing director. "This is further evidence that there is an unfulfilled demand for high-end permanent showroom space, particularly in the Hamilton-Wrenn District." Palazzo has been designed to provide the ultimate in tenant services and convenience to marketgoers. To address the needs of Market set up, more than 30,000 sq. ft. will be designated as a staging area with 10 loading docks for maximum- Tenants convenience. The new showroom building also will feature a flexible and individualized heating and cooling system which will permit tenants to control their own showroom temperature. The Tuscan-style building will offer 430,000 sq. ft. when it opens for the April 2002 Market. Demolition of the site is nearly complete with construction scheduled for later this spring.
